Hi Yann, I'm talking about the File:GTV Logotipo.png, which is 100% my doing, I do not see where is the proof that the Internet service, or because it did, I just want to know one thing because it did and that evidence has to clear my image. Since not find any evidence that the internet kick, I request that I recover the file, which I will not be uploading more at Wikipedia. You see that is 100% mine, although I have Adobe Illustrator file where you think, if you sent it to you so you can see that if I did and I have administrator authority channel Genios Televisión to create your logo and put it on Wikipedia. threshold of originality in France for logos

Again threshold, but this time of an outside information panel in France including photos: File:Feigneux (60), carrière de l'église de Morcourt.jpg. The uploader has no idea [1] about the original photographer, but argued that it shouldn't be a copyvio due to the low quality. What's your opinion? Suite à notre échange, le DRH de Sodern a envoyé un email à Commons pour donner la permission de leur utilisation en ligne, mais les images ont quand même été supprimées... Peux-tu m'indiquer ce que je dois faire ?

Les images n'apparaissent plus dans mon compte Commons, je peux à nouveau les mettre en ligne mais je ne sais pas ce que je dois faire pour qu'elles soient acceptées ?

C'est quand même plus agréable un article illustré, non ?

Demande d'aide

Bonjour, Yann. Je m'adresse à toi car échanger en français plutôt qu'en anglais m'est vraiment plus facile.

À l'occasion, pourrais-tu jeter un coup d'oeil aux images dont il est actuellement question sur User talk:Ismael zniber ? Note qu'Ismael zniber se déclare étudiant sur WP-fr, et que d'après ce que j'ai compris par ailleurs, il devrait avoir environ 15 ou 16 ans.

En dehors de quelques images identifiées comme étant des copyvios (en tant qu'images qu'on retrouve sur des livres protégés par le droit d'auteur), il est question d'images pour lesquelles j'ai apposé le modèle {{Wrong license}}. Comme déjà remarqué et expliqué à Ismael dans le cadre de WP-fr, il confondrait régulièrement scanneur ou téléchargeur et auteur (c'est pourquoi il indique, y compris pour des images anciennes, qu'il en est l'auteur, et comme date, celle de son téléchargement) ; par ailleurs, en matière de source, ce n'est pas toujours clair. Je lui aurais bien expliqué de nouveau ici, mais il m'a signalé sur WP-fr qu'il ne désirait plus que nous échangions (pour le contexte, voir par exemple [2], [3] et [4] et [5]).

Concernant les images pour lesquelles j'ai apposé le modèle {{Wrong license}}, il y a de très fortes chances qu'elles relèvent du domaine public. Pour en être sûr, il faudrait à mon avis que le modèle {{Information}} soit mieux renseigné. Pour le moment, Ismael a parfois enlevé le modèle sans tenir compte de la mention de messages types sur sa PDD (Si vous pensez que ce fichier a la bonne licence, veuillez expliquer pourquoi sur la page de discussion du fichier) ; modèle que j'ai remis en faisant référence à ladite mention en commentaire d'édition, tout en me disant que procéder ainsi sans véritablement échanger n'est vraiment pas la meilleure solution.

Pour le domaine public au Maroc, j'ai fourni il y a peu des indications dans Help:Public domain#Copyright terms by country - Morocco, et le modèle {{PD-Morocco}} ne me paraît pas convenir (mais à ce stade de mes contributions sur Commons, ne me sentant pas encore très à l'aise, je ne me vois pas le changer).

About Quality Images and Illustrations

Hi Yann, regarding your comments at Commons:Featured picture candidates/File:Antoni Gutierrez Diaz.png/2 I want to ask for your opinion. I'm considering nominating not only as VI but as Quality Images the illustrations created by students of art. But reading Commons:Image guidelines and Commons:Quality images seems something for photography not for drawings or infographies. What do you think about it? Erased Images

Hi: I have just noticed the erasing of image "Huevos de Relleno" from Wikimedia Commons. The image illustrates the article "Huevos de Relleno" from the Spanish (Español) section and was made by me so no Copyright violation was done. How can I avoid this? I am afraid others are right. I don't see how a scope could be made for this image. Instead of finding a scope for an image, it is much easier or better to do the opposite: finding an image for a scope. Deleting file with mistaken info

I Copy the message I wrote in the discussion of User:Fastily: "I've seen that We have kept this file par "previous discussion". As stated in avery discusion, the file is poorly made, and gives confusing information. In the previous discussion it was kept beacuse was in use in 15 pages in at leat two proyects. But that was then, before people noticed that the map has mistaken info. J'ai enlevé Category:Yasmine Lafitte de Category:Sex business in Morocco car cette actrice est d'origine marocaine, mais vivrait en France depuis l'âge de 5 mois et y exerce, d'après l'article Yasmine (actrice). Cela ne m'a donc paru rien avoir à voir avec le sex business au Maroc. La catégorie est maintenant vide et continue de s'afficher dans Category:Commerce in Morocco. Que faut-il faire dans ce cas ? Demander sa suppression ? Si oui et si tu es d'accord avec mon changement, pourrais-tu t'en charger ? ou faire ce qui est nécessaire ? Hi, some time ago you deleted File:Complexity-map-overview.png, claiming it is a copyvio. Yet, the original is still at Wikipedia, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Complexity-map-overview.png uploaded User:Bcastel3, aka Brian Castellania, sociology professor who specializes in the study of complexity, who seems to be the designer of that work, and released it on Wikipedia. Undo deletion

Hi there sir, you have filed a deletion to my After School images. I found them in a random sites such as google or any other sites. I've searched thoroughly to where the images came from and I've found out those images were taken from a Korean fan. The author of the images didn't forbid those sites to stop using his/her images to posted on their sites, but instead. He/She let them to use it as in free. I believed it's a free license. I've provided the image source and the author's blog. I put credits I'm not plagiarizing, I plagiarized if I didn't put the source at all. Hoped you understand it, please undo the deletion for the other images that are deleted. I'm not starting a contest here I'm only explaining my side, thanks have a good day.

Hi - just seen your reasoned (but esoteric) comment on my Russell badge. I was very annoyed at its deletion on Russell (main Wiki) page and got into trouble when I admittedly over-reacted by deleting the whole page as a result. However, someone kindly elected me back in. Now, let's sort out the original. No photographer (of 50+ years ago) is going to object to this image on a badge, surely. And the badge is a unique (I use the word carefully) part of social and political history. Let's get it back there. My common-sense and respect of my youth(!) and judgement of copyright say we should do this. Despite my number of contributions to Wiki, I feel an admin amateur. Please help! - Tony

Existe t'il quelques part un formulaire à soumettre pour informer Wiki que je possède les images et que l'entreprise m'a autorisé à utiliser les logos et images? Dernière question, quelle licence utilisé pour les images sensibles logos, merchandising par exemple qui a été déposé par l'entreprise? Caro Yann, os arquivos que carreguei foram excluídos da página do Sampaio Correa na Wikipedia (menos um) e fui notificado quanto à questão de direitos autorais. Concordo que em alguns arquivos que foram utilizados eu pus apenas como fonte a "Internet", porque entendo que já entraram em domínio público, uma vez que não dá pra saber quem são seus autores. Mas em outras ocasiões, eu citei a fonte de onde retirei, como são os casos da Revista Placar e do blog Futebol Maranhense Antigo. A figura de Samuel Rosa e Marcelo Adnet não é uma fotografia, não, são dois cliques que dei nos seus respectivos vídeos que estão divulgados no Youtube, fonte que foi devidamente citada. Eu fiz a montagem. Que falta, então? Que eu coloque o autor do vídeo do Youtube? Sinceramente, gostaria que me explicasse isso melhor. Já li a política do WikiCommons, mas acho que não compreendi bem. Em todo o caso, fiz com a melhor das intenções, pelo grande amor que tenho pelo time do meu coração. Sorry, no. The nomination stated "User contributions in spanish is only in her user page. Self promotion, low image quality, non enciclopedic value." I cannot see the image any more, as you have deleted it, however based on the hundreds of other DRs that The Photographer has created over the last few days, several that you have closed by deleting, that include non-policy nominations (see Photographer&withJS=MediaWiki%3AGadget-rightsfilter.js&lifilter=1&lifilterexpr=Starting+del&lifiltercase=1&withJS=MediaWiki%3AGadget-rightsfilter.js&lifilter=1&lifilterexpr=Starting+del&lifiltercase=1 list), this nomination is worth looking at again. The facts are:

You make reference to your closure relating to "eventually other comments", however there is none apart from the nomination.
I am not completely clear what "User contributions in spanish is only in her user page" means, however it appears to be nominating an image for deletion because one of our contributors does not use English on her user talk page. This would definitely not be a deletion rationale and would be troubling of itself.
"Self promotion" is unlikely, in the list of images up for deletion this have been used to describe "selfies" and similar profile photographs which were not against policy per se. One might argue that some of these were out of scope due to possible lack of educational value, but any closing admin should make that clear.
"low image quality", this would have to be bad enough to render the image out of scope to be a rationale for deletion, there are many cases in the above list where this was incorrectly mentioned in the nomination.
"non enciclopedic value", this is against Commons policy and no DR closure should agree with this as a deletion rationale.

Please amend your closure to explain the reasons you chose to delete the image. The nomination as it stands is not something that a closing admin should just take at face value and delete the image with the comment "as above". Thanks --Fæ (talk) 09:55, 19 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This is a personal image (portrait with his girl friend?) of poor quality, and not used. So your points 3, 4, and 5 above cover it. I don't see where is your problem. I think that point #2 means that if the only edits of a user would in his/her user page (not the case here), it would be a rationale for deletion. This gave me the opportunity to review other files from this user. Two of them are not own work, and have at least a wrong license, and may be a copyvio. I nominated them for deletion. Pour info je l'avais déposée à un moment où les règles étaient très floues à propos des photos d'écran pendant des évènements de type concert ou compétition sportive (en effet je précise que la photo que tu as supprimée était un écran diffusé en direct sur le lieu de la compétition et dont je doute qu'il ait été enregistré ni diffusé ailleurs).

Thanks for looking into this. Of course, many of these images are promotional, and are not interesting for Commons. You need to select them. Think what could be used in Wikipedia. I think that providing an English description would make a huge difference about their possible use on Wikimedia. Photo wrongly deleted

The file File:Alopekis_wirehaired.jpg was wrongly deleted. I am the original author of this photograph. It was published in my magazine in Greece (publications no longer active) and subsequently used and reproduced by many authors, with my permission, in articles about the Alopekis breed. It is also included in the article of the Greek wiki that I authored: el:Αρχείο:Alopekis_wirehaired.jpg and carries a FREE licence.

The file was wrongly deleted. I am the author of both articles and of the photo. I wish the photo re-instated.

I'm sorry but you are 100% incorrect. Commons is very very clear. Any image that the author is unknown has to be 120 years old not 99 (see template:PD-US-unpublished. Even the source of the original image says that the image is Copyrighted. See: here] it reads "Patron Usage Instructions: c2002 Brigham Young University. All rights reserved. Except as provided above, or any use beyond what is allowed by fair use (Title 17, Section 107 U.S.C.).

How can you say there is no doubt that the image is Public Domain if there is no proof of publication prior to 1923, Author is unknown and the original source says it's copyrighted? If you don't believe me ask another administrator like Fastily. Images on wikipedia

Is it important for the images uploaded on wikipedia to be clicked by the editor? I recently came across some good quality images on a blog that suited an article I was editing but they were removed though I mentioned the site I was sourcing it from. I didn't know the work was copyrighted or not. I don't know how to show an image's license or the page where it's creator states that the image can be used by anybody. I have removed the images from the articles and they will be deleted after 8 days or so due to improper sourcing by me. So can I remove the copyright status messages from my talk page? Since I am not a professional photographer or someone who can produce an image's license from the page I sourced it from, will I never be able to upload an image at wikipedia? Concerning the picture I uploaded, it refers to something happened on 5 september 1943 in the Netherlands, more than 70 years ago. To help you to understand, this is the wikipedia page in English: en:Dolle Dinsdag. I did not find any info about the author. So according to the EU rules about copyright it should be free to be pubblished: 70 years after the shot was taken if the author is unknown. The picture was downloaded from this website: Lis Neighborhood Rotterdam. If you feel that there is a violation of copyright, feel free to delete it, just let me know. @Hypergio: Hello,

First, there is a problem about the date: in the image description, it is "5 September 1943", but in the article, it is "5 September 1944". I understand that the later is correct.

Unfortunately, this could only be in the public domain 70 years, after its publication, which would be on 1st January 2015, supposing that it was published in 1944, right after this event.

Sorry... I made a mistake. You are right, the correct date is 1944. I will upload the image again the next year. And sorry for not putting the license... Even if I reachead a good level in different wiki projects, I am still new (not even 6 months) and I can make mistakes. Bonsoir, il ne s'agit pas de fair play, mais de logique pour ne pas dire d'équité. J'ai déjà parlé du travail de retouche effectué par Jebulon, j'y ajoute un exemple récent, celui de Halavar. Il nous a fallu trois ou quatre semaines pour lui faire admettre que ses couleurs étaient trop saturées et qu'il était possible de rectifier la perspective de ses monuments. Peu à peu, il a modifié son point de vue. Je ne vois donc pas pourquoi une qualité de retouche minimum ne serait pas, elle aussi, exigible en VI pour ce qui concerne les photos ou cartes postales anciennes. Voilà le sens de mon intervention inhabituellement intempestive. Je viens d'y ajouter, puisque tu demandais de l'aide, un début de retouche de la photo de Marthe Brandès sur laquelle, bien sûr, on peut encore travailler mais qui me paraît suffisant étant donné la qualité de l'original.-- Cordialement. Merci pour tes modifications sur cette image, mais comme je l'ai dit dans la VIC, je ne fais pas ce type de retouche, car ce n'est personnellement pas "rentable" vu la qualité de l'original. J'aime retoucher des images, mais quand ça en vaut la peine (cf. deux d'entre elles qui sont des FP). Mais si tu veux le faire, vas-y, tu as carte blanche, mais je pense exagérer de me demander de le faire pour que ces images soient acceptées en VI. Since I am his only heir, now that my mother died too, I have the ownership of all the paintings whose pictures I uploaded. This DR

I did file a separate DR on this image by the uploader and he still says to keep in the DR above. Could you make a comment in the DR? PS: I also filed a flickr unfree message on the uploader's talkpage to tell him that images with a non-Commercial restriction is not OK. But he still thinks its acceptable in the above DR where the image has an NC restriction. As for the speedy delete, I thought the UAE image has major FOP issues--and it was not in use--so perhaps a speedy delete was OK in this case. That is why I did not file this DR. A vrai dire j'ai toujours laissé les avertissements tant pour les fichiers Google que pour les fichiers Gallica ou les fichiers des autres bibliothèques.

Je peux faire en sorte de les enlever désormais ; en revanche pour modifier les fichiers déjà corrigés en grande partie. par exemple File:Le Nivernois - Album, 1840, T1.djvu je pense que je devrais remplacer les pages d'avertissement par des pages vierges pour ne pas modifier la pagination. Par ailleurs, si je découvre après coup une page manquante, et que je doive la rajouter, je ne connais pas d'autre solution que de créer un nouveau fichier et de détruire l'ancien ensuite.

Suppression des images sur les pages françaises de Belk Bow et Pinstripe Bowl

Bonsoir, J'ai bien reçu vos deux messages relatifs à la suppression des images importées (logos du Belk Bowl et du Pinstripe Bowl). Je dois probablement avoir mal rempli les données demandées lors de l'importation des fichiers. je n'en suis qu'à mes débuts sur Wiki et je trouve tout ca vraiment compliqué. Ces logos figurent déjà sur les pages anglaises de ces mêmes bowls. Je ne comprend donc pas pourquoi elles devraient e^tre retitrées sur les pages françaises ....Apparement sur les pages anglaises il ne faut pas d'autorisation pour copier ces images. En effet sur les sites officiels de ces évènements les logos peuvent etre "copier coler" (pas de copyright). Le "wiki cmmns ne concerne-t-il que les images "françaises" car lorsque je fais une recherche de ces images sur "commons FR" je ne les trouve pas ? Dans l'attente de vos nouvelles. Tous les logos ont un copyright par défaut, à moins qu'ils ne soient vraiment très simples (uniquement du texte et des figures géométriques simples). Sur WP en anglais, les logos peuvent être publiés sous "fair use", mais WM Commons n'accepte pas les fichiers sous "fair use". N’hésitez pas à me demander si nécessaire.
