Image violates copyright. All images from the Parliament of Victoria website are under copyright and not available to share under an open license. The website (now and in 2019 at the time of this upload) states " copyright material [can be used] for personal, non-commercial use, for research or study, or use within your organisation". The CC BY-SA license doesn't fit this, and the image should be removed as the uploader hasn't been active since making the upload and didn't defend their previous image deletion due to copyright infringement either. As much as he was the author, the law is above his copyright. The document is silent on whether derivatives are allowed or not. As such, in absence of further documentation that specify that the license should allow derivatives, if the government website ascribes that derivates are not allowed, we should honour it as it clears up such ambiguity for that website. By using WayBack Machine I was able to confirm that the file was licensed under the license mentioned (CC-BY 2.0). Since I don't have the license reviewer rights I can't confirm the license but I saw that you're a license reviewer, so can you just confirm it? Image of text claimed as own work by the uploader in 2024 but elements of the text have been online since at least 2018. For example, "Cabinet was commissioned for Allen G Everitt, the Secretary of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists, by other members of the Society, on the occasion of his marriage in 1880" is on the Birmingham museum website. Hello. It's difficult to see how I have plagiarised text when I have quoted more than is on the museum website. The fact is, they both come from the same source: the information panel describing the cabinet. You claimed in your upload that the text was your own work from 2024 and now you state that someone else was the author at some point between 1880 and 2024. That is the problem. You can't make false claims when uploading files to Commons. Claiming authorship of someone else's writing is the definition of plagiarism.

Unfortunately you have not explained that anywhere on the file page. All the file page says at the moment is that you were the sole author, the text was written in 2024 and you (as the sole copyright holder) licence the text for reuse under a creative commons licence. Where you copy information (such as text and images) you need to be as detailed as possible about your source and what part you are claiming copyright ownership of. Image claimed to be from 1965 in the UK with no identified author. Claim that an archivist possessing a copy of the image has released it from copyright, which is not a valid argument unless the archive can prove ownership of copyright. Uploaded as CC0 but with no supporting evidence. If this was by an unknown photographer in the UK, it would be protected for 70 years from creation per Commons:Copyright rules by territory/United Kingdom. That would mean the UK copyright would expire on 1 January 2036. The US copyright would be 95 years from publication. As the image looks like it has come from a newspaper and it was for a ceremony in 1965, it is likely to have been published the same year. US copyright will expire on 1 January 2061. People in these areas are very sensitive about their pictures being taken much less being uploaded to internet without their permission. It seems as though the photographer was visitor to this area who stopped by and took the picture of these individuals while they were going about their business on the road. It is clear that these people were not aware of their picture being taken by a stranger. This is being used to depict traditional clothing but they did not allow you to use their picture to show their clothing and neither they were wearing those clothes so you take their picture without their permission and upload it to the internet.  Keep, ho visto ora anche l'email che mi hai inviato: in base alle norme sul Copyright possiamo usare solo la blasonatura come guida, teoricamente non dovremmo nemmeno guardare al disegno ufficiale, ma a norma araldica ogni variante che segue la blasonatura è corretta (nel caso di smalti e metalli, c'è uno standard che seguiamo per gli stemmi italiani). Se vuoi chiedere al comune la concessione dello stemma ufficiale, saremmo ben lieti di caricarlo e vettorializzarlo in modo più affine all'uso ufficiale. Non conosco l'araldica e, da profano, sono basito dalla risposta: se lo stemma usato nei documenti ufficiali del comune ha una tonalità di sfondo ben diversa su wikipedia si lascia un colore differente ben sapendo che è differente e solo per rispettare uno standard astratto?
Ne prendo atto ma mi pare l'introduzione di una informazione sbagliata sul paese nella pagina di wikipedia.
