I have now replaced the badly dithered .gif file by one with a custom palette containing all the 8 colors, no dithering. If we decide to keep the image, it now has some kind of actual purpose. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 10:05, 4 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

As far as I can see, the file has not been used as a GIF demonstration. If someone wanted to use an image like this as an illustration of the format, they could easily recreate it.

Yeah, the file was probably not meant to demonstrate what GIF can (or cannot) do, but if we can agree that it could be of use as an illustration to someone in the future, then we might also agree that deletion is unnecessary. In that case, there is no need to force anyone to "easily recreate" what already exists.

Contrary to color palettes, dithering isn't a file format feature; using it to display 8 colors just illustrates bad software/choices. However, this is typical for many GIF images found on the Internet, so the original revision might illustrate that issue and reverting to it may be an idea. Whatever it is – palette colors or unnecessary dithering – I guess {{Vector version available}} does the job. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 13:11, 4 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Just so you know the history, Julius Long photo, I don't entire remember this photo to be honest but it is highly likely Julius sent the photo to me for me to upload it to Wikipedia. As for Nailini Helu and Sarah Long I actually payed for these photos to be done under a boxing promotion I promoted. I originally own the rights to them. I uploaded them so they can be used on Wikipedia and more in the future. If there is anything I can do to help or prove it, please let me know.
